Funny, the inlay makes me think of Pac-Man. Generational difference I guess...

the bodywood is Mahagony (mahogany... the seller told me so but i'm not sure about it since it looks a lot like Meranti to me... any specialists out there? )

I wouldn't call myself a specialist. But I just have to say the wood looks just like my Mahogony body for my Mosrite Clone before I painted it...

It looks like mahogany, but I too, am not a specialist on the different types of wood. Being that you
thought it was meranti, could that possibly be a part of the 'Mahogany Family' Tree?

If I remember, Casper, while a ghost, also had legs. This fellow does share resemblance to the pac man ghosts and gloop and gleep, I think he also shares something in common with Dumb Donald from the Fat Albert shows:


Any of them should be honored to have a place on your rocking guitar.

Dennis, Meranti Wood which is also called Phillipian Mahogany is a wood that is domestic to Malaysia, Indonesia, The Phillipines and other parts of Asia. Although it shares similar characteristics of Mahogany it is not Mahogany. Alot of people do this alot and group woods tigether based on their similarities and call it the same thing. Primerra and phillipine mahogany are alike due to their white color of the wood where as honduran and african mahogany have a darker grain. The way Konks guitar looks like it would fall under honduran or african mahogany. Kevin
