This is something one rarely see's. That's a great photo. It deserves a thread of it's own. I would REALLY appreciate it if you would take additional photo's of that guitar from various angles front, back, top and side, and close up shots if you can and post them in our section for "other guitars". I still have my 1961 Carvin catalog listing that very same guitar. That's truly a piece of Mosrite history as Semie used the various mail order parts in his 'hand made' guitars.

Love that amp too. Is that the bass model Standel?

mister dubtrub - Sure I'm happy to put up some more pictures. Should I start a new thread, or do you want to move this one, or just keep it going here?

The Standel is an S-50 from about the same year. It's surprisingly tiny, just a 1x10 in there, and the other space is a port. But it's quite full and bassy sounding considering, moreso than a Princeton or AC-10. It runs a pair of 6V6s, 5Y3 rectifier, and 12AX7 styles, so more like a normal Fender than the earlier odd-tubed Standels. But still pretty rare and unique sounding.

...yeah but very interesting...I keep on looking at it to get all the details. Even the two headstocks are non-matching ones. It would indeed be very nice to see more pictures, especially of the whole guitar in one of the shots.

Good stuff!
