Marinebilly--Thanks for buying a signature model. I really think you'll be happy with it. Be sure and let us know what you think when you get it.

Thanks All!! You know, if it weren't for Mr. Dickerson and his vision, us working class folk would never be able to own such a guitar. I've gone back and forth between the DD and a Gibby Goldtop ever since the DD was first introduced. I think I've made the right decision. Goldtop's will always be around - who know's when Mr. Shade and Mr. Dickerson decide to pull the plug on this here geetar...

I was going to have it completely customized (as described earlier with the 3tone Sparkle Burst), but decided on something subtle. I will definitely post pics and a review.

Sarah93003, I'm doing the chrome DD. I've got a Gretsch 6120W-1957 and a Gretsch 6130 Roundup with gold hardware and wanted something silver this time.

Thanks eltuce! Can you tell me how long you waited for yours? I, too, had the fretboard customized and the order was placed sometime around mid-December. I know customization takes some time, but I'm starting to get concerned and anxious.

Is this production time normal?

I'm guessing with NAMM and the holidays they must have gotten held up a bit. I had mine within about 2-3 weeks of ordering. Sounds like your collection could be looking a bit like mine as I have a G6120W as well. I'd say go ahead and send Bob a PM if you're getting anxious. Here's my DD which I think I posted once before on here so forgive the potential repeat.

Just got an e-mail from Mr. Shade and they ran into some unforseen setbacks beyond their control. They should be sending my guitar out next week or so. :D
