Welcome to the forum, Axis. You've got a nice Ventures Model there. I would not put any energy in to changing the neck. I feel the same way as you about the narrow neck width being difficult to negotiate but changing yours to a wider neck will cancel the great mojo of an original Ventures Model Mosrite.

Re: Hello New Member, Cincinnati
It's either that or sell it, because it's not right for it to be sitting in the closet unplayed. But as you said it has such great mojo, that I can't let it go either. Ergo, trying the wider neck.
Actually I already tried sort of a half finished 25-1/2" scale neck on it as an experiment. It still had a neat Mosritey sound, but as you would expect, it was starting to get a Strat-ish sound because of the longer scale length. But it still seemed to have plenty of mojo.
If my experiment fails, I can always put the original neck back on and go from there. That's the nice thing about bolt on necks.

Well okay but when I talk of mojo, I'm not talking about the sound or the feel of a guitar - I'm just talking about the general aura of an all original vintage guitar.-Marty
