i don't own a mosrite yet but have 2 tym guitars that are very inspired by semie mosely.
Welcome to the forum.
I am always curious about Tym guitars (called Wosrite?) How do you like them?
I have a Vibratone Dlx#15 & SweepingWing Jr#94.
His numbering is overall guitars made instead of per model. He uses a letter prefex to reflect the shape just like semie did and of coarse stamped into the fretboard.
I love Sweptwing copy because I remember taking a colorsound pedal in for repair and I always looked round his shop because he would have half finished guitars hanging both in the work area and sometime spilling into the showroom. I remember before bob shade relaunched the hallmark brand I saw the half finished sweptwing and asked tim about it. I recognized it’s shape from a flaming lips album photo and tim said he had got the guitar details from a sweptwing owner.he had been talking to bob shade and found out half the way through the build that he was relaunching hallmark so the guitar was made a jnr model to make it different than the hallmark model.
The guitar has a thick heavy body and the neck is VERY thin, and overall a great playing guitar and it’s in my fav colour red-burst.
I love my wosrite’s and use them both in my band but I feel it is time to buy my first mosrite and in saying that I feel a mosrite is only a mosrite if it was made by/under supervision from semie…everything else is a copy.

Have any pictures of your guitars for us?
I will try to take some pics this weekend for you.

It's good to see another Aussie here ... even a Queenslander.
Hey just kidding. As a Sydney-sider I was obligated to say that.
Enjoy your stay.
Bill.
Hey Bill nice to meet you, I have seen a couple of guitars of yours selling on ebay.
Next time I’m in Sydney I’ll drop you a line?

Hey Aussies, isn't there a bit of a music scene in Brisbane?
Yeh there is a great scene in Brisbane … always has been just because there is not enough bands that visit generates creative juices to write music.
mosman wrote:I dunno so much about Brissie but there's plenty going on in Sydney.
Although I do know that Brisbane has the annual Ramones -a-thon each year courtesy of Tim Brennan from Tym guitars.
Bill.
Yep these ramone-a-thons are amazing … you get all styles of music from country->rock->punk->synthy bands playing all doing their take on ramones songs.
And note tim’s roshambo are an AMAZING ramones band!!!
Tim does it ALL for charity not for profit.
