I worked at Mosrite about 30 yrs ago. Gee how time flys!! I was just a kid! LOL! I Wet sanded, buffed, soldered, dry sanded, some assembly and whatever I could do or was needed, at times I was the secretary. At the time I remember making the Ventures model - for Hollywood music -. At the time my husband and I were the only employees there. Semie was around, having marriage and intestinal problems. Seems like the two can go hand in hand! LOL! I recall one surprising memory- my husband had traded my wages for Mosrite parts!! Without discussing it with me. LOL! OH well! We have been divorced for ages. We got married when we were kids. He can paint cirlces around anyone! Very talented. At one time I had a Joe Maphis bass, and had bought a Mosrite bass in a case at a yard sale for 45.00!!!! Wish that would happen again! AH, live and learn. I haven't seen a Mosrite in person for years. I have a few guitars and basses, but no Mosrite.

MOre INFO! I left Californina about 20 years ago. I am now in HOT, DRY, and WIndy New Mexico. Wouldn't mind living elsewhere! I did assist in building double necks. What fun! I play bass w a band now and then, some drumming occasionally. Played in church for years, thoroughly enjoy that. Have a great week! Debby

Welcome, busybee! I have owned two of those Hollywood Music Ventures models (still have one) and was wondering if you recollect any details about them? One of our Japanese forum members tried Hiro Misawa but it seems he has left his Mosrite dealing days long behind. Thanks!
