Hi, Just learned of this place from http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/undergroundfire2/ I think.
I owned a 66? original sunburst Ventures Mosrite for many years until I traded it to Tony Hunt in the 80's for one of his Classic models. I only traded it because I'd taken it to a number of luthiers who couldn't figure out why the thing sounded dead.
I recently had the chance to play a Hallmark 60s custom and it sounded better to me than my Mosrite did on it's best day. Now that I've seen how much all the other clones cost, seems to me the Hallmark is the best deal goin.
Our band has a page here: http://www.myspace.com/gwg.
We rarely gig...no market for Ventures/Shadows music in the Chicago area. We've also been fortunate enough to have recorded a number of things with Nokie Edwards...a couple toons of which are posted on our myspace page.

Thanks, Adam. Is good to see my Hunt is worth something to someone other than me. I'd probly never sellit until I croke, then my wife can sell it. Tony made some nice guitars...just not many of them.

Welcome and enjoy your stay.
Pictures of your guitars are welcome. I haven't had the pleasure to play a Mosrite or Hallmark yet, All I've played so far is an Eastwood and I wasn't overly impressed. The body was great but the thing sounded pretty generic, I get a closer sound out of my Squier Telecaster Thinline!
