Hello everyone. Thanks for the forum. It has been enormously helpful
in letting me learn about mosrites. i recently became the proud owner
of a '66 joe maphis model 1, which i will be posting some questions about
under appropriate topic. It's been really fascinating to me to see how many
different models and custom one offs Semi Moseley made over the years.
That's not something you see in other major guitar makers. It gives me the
impression that Semi was making a lot of special guitars for working musicians
and trying out new ideas constantly throughout his career. Both of which are very
admirable qualities From what i've read about him he was very passionate about
guitar building his guitars and less worried about the business of the musical
instrument industry. And to me that, for better or worse, is what set's him apart
from the other big guys.
