Good Morning all from the not so sunny Bronx. I just recently became interested in Mosrites after realizing all my favorite musicians play them. Marshall Crenshaw is holding one of the cover of his latest album and a quick search on youtube shows him playing both a six and twelve string model during live performances in 1982. I am a huge Marshall Crenshaw fan and his love of these guitars only adds to the coolness factor. These have got to be the coolest looking and sounding guitars ever. While a vintage model might be a little out of my price range, Bob Shade's Hallmarks look pretty sweet. Time to start saving my pennies. Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried to publish a book on the history of mosrite? It makes for a really good read. I've read tim brennan's articles, and deke dickerson's posts on this site, but has anyone ever tried to compile all the information into a single tome?

The Definitive Mosrite Book has yet to be written/published and would most certainly make a great read and reference. Since I've not heard of Marshall Crenshaw, I'll see if he's on YouTube. Welcome to the Mosrite community

Welcome to the forum - There are affordable options, in addition to the Hallmarks, but I doubt if you'll beat the price or quality of Bob Shade's products, whatever you decide to get. Enjoy, and glad to have you with us.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'd sure like to know more about that 12 string solid body Mosrite he was playing. I love the sound of it.

There are many of us that have had both Mosrite and Hallmark guitars and I for one must say I'm very impressed and happy to own a Hallmark Custom 60. Welcome aboard a lot of nice people here. John.
