mosrite reunited

Postby slapshot » Mon Apr 12, 2010 9:46 am

I'm 36 punkrock guitarist and back up vocalist for 19 years and this is my Mosrite I got back last weekend that I sold to someone 7 years ago.
I originally got it mailorder straight from Japan around '99/2000 (years kinda hazy)
I have since got more into Gretschs but when the time and opportunity came to get it back I jumped at it.
I've since read a lot of stuff online mentioning lawsuits, someone called ed roman, fillmore, kukosomething, clones ect when all I was trying to do was find out some information about this one.It has mosrite of cali & the ventures II on the headstock not ramones or signatures ect.The bridge pickup was changed too.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm sure someone will be along that can tell you more about your guitar.

Welcome to the party slapshot. Now there's a good story for a change -about "the one that got away"...but came back! :D
Is the colour indeed a shade of light green (nice), or is it just how the camera recorded it?

Welcome to the forum. Sorry but I'm not an expert with Mosrite reissues, I will however tell you the company you can't remember the name of is Kurokumo. I think it translates to Black Cloud.

it's a yellowed white colour but not as dramatic as the camera shows (iphone pics) but not the bright white as when I first got it.

Welcome to the Community Slapshot. This is the 2nd such story that I've heard in which the owner
gets his guitar back in which he wished he had not sold to begin with......the 1st was ......me  .
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.
