Hey everyone,
I'm new to the forum and new to Mosrites. I used to play around on a band members Excellent '65 years ago and I've always wanted one. I just one a candy apple red one on Ebay. It's coming all the way from Australia so I'm a bit nervous about that.
I used to play in a surf band the Reluctant Aquanauts http://www.myspace.com/reluctantaquanauts
I did some soul music, country, and even bluegrass for awhile. I'm currently working on my masters degree but there have been talks of putting back together my surf band so hopefully once this Mosrite gets here I'll have a use for it.
See you around the forums,
Bill

Re: Hello from Chicago
Welcome to the forum Bill. I think you've be pleased with the Excellent - they're really nice guitars!
Hope we get to hear more from the Reluctant Aquanauts. Or would it be Reconstituted Aquanauts?

Re: Hello from Chicago
From one Bill to another welcome to the forum. I see you bought the red Ex 65 from Global Vintage in Sydney. I've looked at that one many times and I'll miss seeing it whenever I'm at GV. It's a beautiful guitar and rest assured the store owner will pack and send it with the utmost care. I've bought many guitars from him ( including 4 Mosrites) and he lives and breathes guitars.
Have fun with it!
Bill.

I don't have an Excellent but from what I've read about them it's a great playing, sounding and looking guitar! Post some pictures when you can.
