My name is Kerry.

I took guitar lessons in the latter half of the seventies. My instructor was a lady that was crazy about the Ventures. I was coerced into playing a lot of surf music.

I owned a small town music store during the eighties. I took a lot of used equipment (which now would be called vintage) on trade ins. Many fine guitars passed through my hands. I was in business to resell them. I remember so many that I'd love to have back.

During that time, I picked up one Mosrite. It was a stereo guitar, Natural finish. I didn't pay very much attention to it, until a man put some money down on it, and I agreed to restring it.

I loved the neck. it had a V contour. I plugged it in, and fell in love with the rest of the guitar. I tried to persuade the customer to break the deal, but he wanted it real bad.

I have a handful of nice guitars, but I haven't replaced my Mosrite yet!

Hi Kerry and welcome to the forum.....wow, I totally understand what you have said.....I bought one new about 45 yrs ago....had it a few years, played it some, but for some reason I favored the fender Jaguar for gigs.......I ended up trading it in on something I don't own now, either.
I didn't appreciate what I had back then either. Mine was the only Mosrite in the area, and they weren't popular at all....but I bought it because the Ventures had switched to it, and I played along with the albums at home. Particularly, the Ventures Knock Me Out album, and The Fabulous Ventures album, also some songs from the Space album...
Wish I had it back now, but....such is life.....

Roger. Back in the mid 60's my cousin had a Mosrite Combo and he lived in Cortland,NY. He did play country music so he probably didn't cross paths with you. He did play in many places with the country stars of that time and was on a first name bases with most of them. He played with Tex Roe and the Travelers. He sadly passed away in 1968 of leukemia.

Welcome to the forum. I've seen the 350 model go for up to $1,400 or so twice now although when they come on eBay its not uncommon for them to be listed at a BIN of about $1,000 and not sell for a while.
