Hey all!

My name's Phil. I'm 52 from the great city of Memphis, Tennessee. I'm a big fan of The Ventures. I was always intrigued by their guitars. I finally got motivated enough to check out what they where playing. I've been a follower ever since. Unfortunately I have never had the financial means to buy one. Some day I'll get my grubby little hands on a nice Mark V.

Thanks! I've been talking to the wife the past few years about getting sufficient funds for one. At the rate we're going, I should have one in the next few years.

Tell her it's an investment. Yeah, an investment that's going to be worth a lot of money some day. Think of the children's future. Yeah, she'll buy that. ;)

Welcome to the forum. In adiition to the Mark V there's also the Ventures II (Version 2) Model. I think they might go for less than the Mark V and they're almost the same thing as the Mark V model. There's a topic about the differences between the two, Some of these early Mark Vs have easier to access frets at the body while others do not. Once can tell because of the pickguard, You can read about it here:
