Wow! I'm glad I found this board! Lots of great info. 8-)

Anyway, about me, or more importantly my Mosrite. Anyway, sometime in the 70s a neighbor gave my parents a guitar. . . . a Ventures II Mosrite of California. It wasn't really playable and was missing lots of things. My parents gave it to me, since I played guitar. This was pretty much a project guitar. I said one day, when I get around to it, I'll start restoring it. Well, that never happened. Fast forward about 35 years to the present, and I remembered I must have that guitar somewhere in all my stuff. Well, I went digging around the other day and I finally found it. Like I said, it's more of project guitar. . . needs hardware, needs refinishing, etc., but the bones are there. I don't know if I'll get around to restoring it, but it's still cool for what it is.

Anyway, thanks for listening guys! 8-)

Nice intro, Dakota...err... I mean DC3 :D

If you have the time, show us some pictures of what you have there. Good luck in getting her up to full playablility again, after so many years of 'hibernating' ;)

Welcome DC3. If you can tell us specifically what you need as far as hardware, etc, chances are very
good that you'll have that puppy up and running in no time. We even have members here on the Forum
that have built their own Mo's from scratch........ ;)

Thanks for the warm welcomes guys. 8-)

I don't know that I'm up for doing a restoration on this. I'm sure I can get it playable, but that wouldn't really do it justice. It really deserves a restoration.

Anyway, here's a few pics. Bear in mind, this is a pretty raw project guitar. The neck and neck pocket are stamped with 1968 dates. I have more pictures here.

I asked for pictures and boy, did I sure did get some :D
I'm sure the substitute trem ARM presently mounted on it will do the job but if you're going to be looking for a Mosrite replacement, Bob Shade of Hallmark Guitars can probably help you out. Bob is a member here too. Meanwhile, hang in there till some more reactions come in...and they will ;)
