I hope you all don't mind a Mosrite non-owner jumping in here. I have a strong curiosity about them and have had trouble finding good info. This looks like the right place.

You DO NOT have to be an owner of a Mosrite to be in this Group. This is a Group
of many; musicians, admirers, amateurs, pros, etc, etc, all in one. This is a Group
that will NOT jump all over you for asking a question that might sound crazy. If you
don't ask questions, than you will never learn anything. So by all means,
look around, get your feet wet, and if you need help, just give a shout, and

Hi, Don: Welcome to the forum.

Danny (dubtrub) is away for a camping trip (lucky him, I was told by my wife to make a trip to Garden Centers this weekend!), otherwise, he would have welcome you in person.

I love other guitars too. (even classical guitars, Dennis, don't throw rocks at me ) But it can be contagious, once you get bitten by the Mosrite bug, you may get a fever.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Looking forward to hanging out and learning something. I AM a little worried about catching a fever in here...will have to keep that in check. For the sake of conversation, here's the guitars I do have:

Welcome to the forum and don't worry about not owning a Mosrite, I don't either. Although I guess you could say my clones are close enough to be considered as much a Mosrite as those 'Mosrite' clones made in Japan. If the bug bites and you decide to take the plunge and if you are not going to buy an original vintage made in America Mosrite, be sure and check out the Hallmark 60's custom.

Hi Don,
I am also a Mosrite neophyte, but have been interested in them for many years. I got myself a clone just this month, a Hallmark 60 Custom. It may not have the exact same tailpiece or the name on the headstock, but I know that Bob Shade (pres. of Hallmark) enlisted Bill Gruggett to help "modernize" the Mosrite Mark 1 design. Mr Gruggett was Semi's right hand man and plant manager during the heyday, so I feel a bit of the magic lingers. This is purely emotional, I know.
Anyway, like everyone else said--stick around and enjoy the ride.

Congrats, Strat-o-rama! I've been eye-balling the 60 Custom myself.
