Hi, I'm new to the forums, my name is Steve and I am in St Louis MO. I own two Celbrities., a blonde stereo model (A0794) with tortoise guards and a red burst (A0772) with white guards. I believe that they are both Celebrity "ones". I got the blonde one just over a year ago from the grandson of the original owner who had passed away, and instantly loved it. The other I purchased yesterday at a local vintage guitar shop, and they had gotten it from the original owner, or so they said. Both have the original Victoria luggage co. cases. I'm in my early thirties, and my first guitar, ca. '93-4, was a heavy metal style axe with a very thin neck, so the oddly thin and flat neck profile on these guitars feels right to me. I've never quite hit it off with a fatter neck which were more common in the '60s. Here's some pics, any info that anyone on here would like to provide will be much appreciated, so don't hold back. Also, I almost have to wonder, since the serial #s are 22 digits apart, if these were part of the same shipment to the St Louis area, or if they found their seperate ways here. Anyway... It's odd, I am about the same age and also started in the early 90s on a metal style axe with a thin neck.
After falling in love with the Mosrite style guitars I was very relieved when I picked up my first one in 2006 and discovered that the neck is as small as those axes I've been used to play.
