I just bought my first Mosrite the other day and I'm so happy. I'm a geek for surf music and what more iconic guitar that a classic Mosrite. The short story a local guitar shop got one in on consignment and it was affordable. Its not a collector grade by any means, US made '69 neck on a '68 Japanese body. It has its share of bumps and bruises but it plays nice and is a real Mosrite. Probably the only way I'll ever be able to afford one. So I saved my pennies, sold some stuff and finally was able to walk out the door with my new purchase.
A little about me:
I'm a hack guitar player and have recently found a new passion in building guitars. I have over a dozen under my belt at this point and a couple out there being played in clubs every night. Mostly telecasters and a couple basses. Certainly up next will be a clone of my Mosrite, what a better way than to have a model at my disposal.
Happy to have found this forum.
