Hello from driving across the USA

Howdy!
To my ears, there is nothing like the sound (particularly the initial attack) of the Mosrite "The Ventures" single coil. Or, for that matter, the later humbuckers.
I've joined because I'm trying to track down info on two alleged Mosrite instruments.
My Googling from the past few months had turned up little on one of them, and nothing about the other.
While in a large western city recently, I even stopped in at (insert "vendor"(?)), just to see it for myself (NOTE: the guitars i am researching are NOT from this place, they are across the continent). I went in with an open mind, under the assumptiom that I would learn something, have a good time, and at least see fun guitars. I did! I left with many conflicting opinions, too, as did my spouse.
It's time to join the forum and get real information, though.
I've been lurking for a few months, and it looks like a good place.
