The bug has bitten.

Hey all, first post here. I went to NAMM for the first time this year, as a guest of the Rickenbacker corporation (my obsession). Having never played a Mosrite before (but always admired the aesthetics) and knowing nothing about them, their tiny booth forced me to slow down as I whizzed past everything else in the Anaheim Convention Center at a rather feverish pace.
I met Dana Moseley and one of the Japanese distributors (whose name escapes me), both of who were very warm in welcoming me and describing their new line of products. I sheepishly asked to try one out, then proceeded to pick up a white USA model, which I played through a Mosrite amp.
The seed was planted.
I was blown away by the fast, flat neck, the tiny frets, and wonderful vibrato system, which in my opinion eclipsed any Bigsby I'd ever used, and even the sacred Rickenbacker staple, the Ac'cent. I grabbed some catalogs, extremely impressed with the guitars, the people, and the company - but had no idea what was to come.
Being the Rickenbacker devotee that I am, there was no way I could pass up the opportunity to check out the all-Bakelite band (I've got a '46 B6 Bakelite steel myself), who played at the Guitar Geek festival - though at the time, I knew nothing about the show other than there would be some cool old Ricks there. Myself and my posse skipped out on Jennifer Batten, but came back to see the remainder of the show. After a wonderful surf group (whose name escapes me, my apologies - the Coronas were flowing like water!), on came Deke and the incredible all Mosrite band, who proceeded to blow my mind.
The final straw came this morning, the last day of NAMM. I went in at opening and made a beeline straight for the Mosrite booth. I was determined to make sure that this all wasn't a fluke, and as it turns out, it wasn't - I got to spend considerably more time this morning plunking around on both US and Japanese models, and left considerably more floored than I had been even the day before. I even attempted to buy the last one there - a Japanese-made model in Sonic Blue - but they couldn't take credit card. No matter - I think I'd like to pick up a US model anyway.
Dana was nice enough to autograph a pamphlet for me today, before I headed back home to NYC, with visions of Mark I's floating in my head throughout the plane ride home.
So, just wanted to say hi to you all, looking forward to buying my first Mosrite very soon, and looking to learn and participate on this very cool forum.
