Ventures II neck plate

Postby johnnyboy1234 » Tue Aug 11, 2009 10:59 am

Does anyone have a picture of the back of a slab body Ventures II without the rectanglular
plate attached. Just curious of the neck screw configuration...and if it has 3 or 4 screws....anyone, Tym?

Quattro, and they are not evenly spaced. If yours has the later kidney shaped neck plate, I'd leave it on and stock. The early neck plates DO NOT hold the neck on.

the slab body neck plates were similar to a fender strat neck plate but longer. 4 screws. the original 65 plate were there to just cover up the neck screws (also 4), almost like a mistake plate. the actual screw placement is correct on the fillmore reissue johnny ramone model.

this was true as well on some of the earliest kidney bean shaped plates as well on the ventures one and other models.

if I can find some pics I'll post them.

oh and btw the 2 different plates don't line up at all.
