Only have one existing photo of my Ventures model (that I know of), and I sure miss it. Bought in 1965 from neighbor who played in a band and was leaving the band. It was in pristine condition when I bought it, and stayed that way until I sold it (kicking myself) in 1970.

That neighbor was probably kicking himself too, at one stage or another

Bill, you might of bought it in '65, and your neighbor might of bought it in '64.....but the PIC with S/N# 0036 is a '63BillStyler wrote:Only have one existing photo of my Ventures model (that I know of), and I sure miss it. http://guitarguy.billstyler.com/img/1964VenturesModel.jpg. My S/N is #0038.
You have the info I needed! Thanks, Dennis. I've been knocked down many times for claiming it was a '63, which I guessed by the s/n, so I opted to back off on that date this time. I'm back on the '63 train, now.
Here is a Mosrite my brother and I own together. I don't have the s/n at hand, but it's quite early, also.

Billy, she's probably a '66-'67 "Ventures II" model in which this would be the MARK V....BillStyler wrote:Here is a Mosrite my brother and I own together. I don't have the s/n at hand, but it's quite early, also.
