Serial No. GA-021
This one intrigues me being so close to Semie's Blue Gospel (GA-009). Maybe it was made around the same time? I haven't come across any other examples from the GA Series online but maybe someone knows more about them.
It was made between 1967-68:
- Pickups have "Circle R" after Mosrite (added in 1966)
- Tremolo has patent number (not issued until March 1, 1966)
- Knobs have "M" on top but not "V" and "T" (removed in 1967)
- No Celebrities were produced 1969-1972 and the second gens produced 1972-74 had very different features than the mid-60s models
The bridge has been replaced (obviously not the original roller bridge)
I've seen a few mid-60s Gospels on eBay and the listing prices seem to range from about $1,500 to $4,000. Not sure how much impact being a GA Series guitar or having the replacement bridge would have on the value.
Anyway that's about what I know so far. See below for some pictures (hoping I posted them correctly). All feedback appreciated. Also if anyone knows the best way to polish the oxidation off the tuning keys I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks!
