Hi.
I'm new here.
I've found a few Mosrites, but I have questions about them.
I think this one is weird. I've thus far found no pictures of a headstock with similar logo placement.
I couldn't get any pictures the day I found it (the shop was closing), but I did get them to send me this picture.
I can also tell you that it had Mosrite humbuckers.
Of course the employee I talked to claimed it was a low serial Ventures, etc. Well, even I know that is incorrect. Humbuckers?
Umm, yeah, and no "The Ventures"?
I am charitably assuming said employee had misheard something. He was indeed very convinced that it was specifically from the early 60's.
I am about to head back through the state where I found this, and hope to get a longer pre-closing look.
Any ideas?

Re: Weird nut and logo?
-- Don't look right to me! Logo is misplaced and poorly applied, and the string guide (nut) is wrong, it should be larger and curved on one side. I would not buy this guitar judging by what I see in your pic. Good luck on your hunt!
The gangster looks so frightening, with his luger in his hand
When he gets home to his children, he's a family man
But when it comes to the nitty-gritty, he can shove in his knife
Yes he really looks quite religious, he's been an outlaw all his life

Re: Weird nut and logo?
I agree with what Steve said. The tuners aren't correct either. My guess is it is not an OEM Mosrite neck. I doubt there is a serial number stamped into the fretboard. Of course it would be helpful to see more photos.
