Mosrite-made Acoustic Black Widow...

Postby Deke Dickerson » Tue Feb 03, 2009 12:35 am

Here's another guitar I don't think I've seen posted on this forum before, although there have been a few references to it.

You all remember Acoustic amps, right? Those big 70's behemoths with the light blue and black color scheme? Well, for a short period of time in the early 70's they were making guitars and basses too. MOST of them are sort of junky Japanese made guitars, but if you spot some oddball Mosrite parts then its from a batch that Semie Moseley made for them. Check this picture out and you'll see what I mean--note the Mosrite humbucker pickups, Mosrite bridge, Mosrite neck plate, zero fret, German carve, etc.

A pretty cool obscure left field Mosrite! I dig the "black widow" red vinyl pad on the back!!
