I dont believe it was a brass rail however, but I was told he did give it to her when she played in Bakersfield. Ive seen the one you are showing us before in his photo collection, but I didnt realize Dolly has never seen it .

AFter seeing this Mosrite Dolly Pardon, which I had seen photos of before, I realized I had never seen the Gruggett photo of the Dolly Pardon guitar I mentioned above even tough a family elder had mentioned stories of the guitar on more than one occasion. Ive searched wide and low and all over the internet and since I dont find proof of the Gruggett Dolly Parton and the 'elder' of our family is now 93 and not remembering things well, I am getting alot of confusion and mixed messages, so unless someone knows otherwise or sends me proof, I will suffice to say that the Gruggett Dolly Pardon guitar is not in existence, and Bill likely did not do the Mosrite one since at the time Semie and Billy were not working together. Adam feel free to chime in with more info if you would like, as I know you have more details on this guitar.
