Btw, A few days ago I emailed the guy at Gruhn who sold me my Mosrite. I just heard back from him and he confirmed that this guitar is pretty difficult to date. So I think I'm going to just pick a number... 1968 it is!!!

Without reading this entire topic, are you guy's trying to figure out the date stamps on the two photo's above? If so, it is April 1, 1965.

The number of extra screw holes in the neck pocket is also peculiar. I would theorize that these bodies were deemed seconds back in 1965 which would explain why they never received the full '65 German carve treatment, and then completed at a later date, whether by Mosrite or by someone like Gene Moles post bankruptcy auction.
