LOL! Vincent,
I do have a '61 LP/SG Custom (not the one pictured although close), but mine has the Maestro Trem System. When they first came out, they were available with the Maestro System (they were also available with the 'short block' with ebony wood and pearl inlay), Bigsby, or the Lyre System (where the trem bar worked sideways, not up and down).
BTW Danny, mine is actually a real L.P., although it is now known as an LP/SG. And Les Paul had nothing to do with this new design back in late '60-'61 in which he hated, but that's another LONG story in itself. So if you are thinking that maybe that Fender amp is worth more than the LP/SG, you might want to take a second look on some other websites ;) .
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Those LP/SG are very rare. You are very lucky to have one.

I like SG's. They are so easy to hold and to play....Compared to my other 70's LP's, they are like birds vs elephants, weight wise... :? I play my LP Customs when I need weight lifting exercise...

Couldn't afford those vintage SG's with tremolo bar, so I got myself an Angus Young Signature model.

I'd better shut up, or I will be kicked out of this forum soon...

LOL! So true, I like that comparison! And when I need to exercise lifting weights,
I just strap on my J.M. Doubleneck, and then I'm good to go  .

Well yes and no, sort of.....they are definitely easy to hold, but I always found mine
a PITA to play when using the strap being that they are neck heavy and you always
have to hold onto the Neck. In reality, it is more likely where they had to install the
strap button making it seem as though it were Neck heavy :| ........

It's basically the same guitar without having to surrender your bank account nowdays  .
Now all ya' gotta do is have fun playing it, and enjoy having it ;) .

That's why I don't get Mosrite double necks. Just too big and too heavy for me to handle..

Very true, many players complain about the unbalanced neck/body weight on SG. I have no problem as I don't play guitars standing up.

Angus Young SG is nice but the bridge PU is a little too hot or too modern for me.
