Re: Old Mosrite photos/articles from 60's
Wow--learning so much with Dubtrubs search tips---so much information on this site!! Heres some more oldie but goodies
First is old Gruggett guitar shop , south Chester in Bakersfield during the 80s - (i painted that sign on the window) Lots of customs and repairs done there!
Next is first ever Stradette - check out that headstock!
3rd is Gruggett raindrop guitar -(this is actually my personal guitar) He made 6 (maybe 7) back in the early 60s for Hank Rains and the Raindrops , some people call it the teardrop but its actually a raindrop. He took mine back in the 90s and redid one of the pick up locations and changed the tailpiece, so mine is the improved raindrop. He said he didnt like the way he did the first ones. So mine is WAY Cool! and Bob Shade with Hallmark is going to restore the paint for me soon-Im just getting it all together. havring trouble with 3rd photo will post it seperate
Enjoy--Kathy

A clarification on an old memory I posted on this thread about the guys all having jam sessions in a big hall and all us kids would run around an play . My mother has let me know it was actually that we would go and watch the filming of a local TV show, COUSIN HERB HENSONS' TRADING POST and the pretty woman I remember was Bonnie Owens. ( once married to Buck Owens and Merle Haggard) We would hang out while the show was being filmed and then after the guys would have a jam session and then everyone would go out and eat. darn, wish I had some photos of that! I bet Eugene Moles has some from his dad, Gene Moles.

those Moseley boys really looked like movie stars.Whens the last time you saw a story in the media about a startup company that makes a real product. Thanks for sharing these personal items. I sure would like to see someone write a definitive mosrite book with the history , tons of pics , and tech and restoration tips and so forth.......
