Bizarre Mosrite quad-neck story from Larry Collins!

I was talking to Larry Collins on the phone two days ago, and we got to talking about guitars. Larry was talking about Semie's tripleneck guitar, and then this popped out of his mouth:
"One time, Semie showed up backstage at the Town Hall Party with a FOUR-NECK guitar! It had two necks going off to the left, and two necks going off to the right, and he was wearing some kind of a girdle-belt buckle thing where he could spin it around and play the other two necks! Joe Maphis and I were laughing so hard at him, I think it hurt his feelings, because we never saw that guitar again..."
Needless to say, this boggled my mind.
Sounds like it predates both Michael Angelo's "quad" guitar,

Where is it now? Or did Semie cut it up on the band saw after Joe and Larry laughed at him?

Wow, this beats everything. Semie was so innovative and full of ideas...and surely humour too!
Yes, a shame the FOUR NECK isn't around anymore but I do see the funny side of the 'presentation' too....what a riot it must've been!

I'd love to see that thing, I bet it's pretty gnarly looking.

Oh man, What a sight that must have been. A glorious sight. I wish I could see pictures of it but Semie probably cut it up after that.

Yes, but if the 'Quad' still exists, I was thinking maybe she might
know where it might be hiding......or maybe even Dana???

If it is still floating around just imagine how much it would fetch on the collector market. Deke did you happen to ask Larry what became of that guitar?

Ha, Larry said it was about 7 feet long in the case, so if Semie had kept that thing he would have shown it and got it photographed. Plus, Semie moved so much in the 60's, 70's, and 80's, there's no way he would keep moving that thing if he wasn't using it.
Larry's best guess was that since Larry and Joe Maphis laughed at it, Semie probably just went home and cut it up.
It's sure a good story, though, and who knows, maybe one day a photo will pop up!!
After all, Terry McArthur always told me that Joe Maphis played my guitar once, but you could have knocked me over with a feather when Jody Maphis sent Terry and I a snapshot out of the blue of...Joe Maphis playing my TNM Custom doubleneck!
So, cross your fingers, maybe a photo will turn up someday.
