Hey-

Haven't visited this forum in a while but did want to show you that vintage lefty Mosrites do exist. You could probably count them on one hand though.

Below is my lefty 1967 Mosrite Joe Maphis:

I'd say your JM is a '66 (full trem, no truss rod on head stock).

Is it difficult to work with the vibrato handle at the top of the bridge ?

These Mosrite Maphis guitars have always been my favorite. They look so cool, and then to be a lefty…VERY cool guitar! Thanks for sharing the picture.

Thanks a lot guys.

The guitar is in perfect shape other than a 1/2" piece of neck binding missing near the base of the neck and a hole on the tremble horn from a previous owner who strung it up righty.

The tremolo isn't that difficult to work with. I usually just turn it around and don't mess with it. One thing I really like is the lefty specific case. Just completes it I guess.

There's a right -hand version of this in a shop in Sydney but they want about $4500 Aust for it. There's no way I'd pay that but I still like to look at it when I'm in the area.
