Nice pic…talk about Ronnie Sessions…upon reading what Dubtrub had posted in another thread (Bill Gruggett guitar and benefit show):

"Racine Sessions, the lady that did all the assembly work at the P Street factory from late 1963 to the last date of closing"

…makes me wonder if said lady could be Ronnie’s mother (or other relative) and possibly responsible for linking Ronnie up with Mosrite?

That's a cool pic! Apparently it was taken on September 14, 1965, which happened to be my 15th birthday. Ronnie doesn't look to be too much older than that in that pic--I'd have killed for a Mosrite like his when I was 15!

Yes, Racine Sessions is Ronnie's Mom who worked at Mosrite until they closed their doors (the first time),
and I would say she was responsible for hooking her son up with the Mo' guitar ;) ..............................

Very cool picture. I wonder if Racine is still around this area. She must be a wealth of information about Mosrite guitars.

For those who don't know who he is, look here:

Notice his Mosrite in this pic? Looks different from the above posted photo. Anyone know if he had 2 "The Ventures" models with custom finishes, or is it the same guitar after Semie did one of his overhauls to it?
Like Sarah said, both Mother and Son would be a wealth of info on Mosrite.

Ronnie Sessions was born in Henrietta, Oklahoma on December 7, 1948. When Sessions was four years old his family moved from Oklahoma to Bakersfield, California. Sessions began taking guitar lessons when he was eight years old from Andy Moseley (brother of the local Mosrite Guitar manufacturer Semie Moseley). Andy Moseley later became Ronnie Sessions’ manager. Sessions signed his first recording contract with Pike Records when he was nine years old. Eventually Sessions signed a record deal with Bakersfield's Mosrite Records, owned and operated by the Moseley brothers. In 1958 Sessions began a three-year stint on Cousin Herb Henson’s “Trading Post” television show. Ronnie Sessions made guest appearances on other television shows including “The Jelly Sanders Show”, “The Tommy Dee Show” and “The Billy Mize Show”. Sessions broke into the Top 10 in 1968 with Hoyt Axton’s song “Never Been To Spain”. Sessions released two full-length albums, “Ronnie Sessions” in 1969 and “Ronnie Sessions Live” in 1970 on MCA Records’ label. ronniesessionsshirt: Ray Willis and Ronnie Session co-wrote a song titled “When I Play The Fiddle” released on Kenny Rogers’ 1977 album titled “Lucille”. After a musical career spanning three decades Ronnie Sessions retired from the music business in 1987. Sessions had 10 songs enter into the Top 10 during his musical career.

That's the pic. Thanks connie_mack.
