1971 Ventures model neck repainted

Hi All, does any member know of a place or shop that I could get my 1971 Ventures model neck repainted. It needs to be the sunburst look. I live in the Tampa bay area of Florida but would ship it out for it be be worked on. Thanks for any reply, Peter

I second that.... Ed refinished an entire neck and body in SB on stripped 66 Ventures model I restored and it was dead on!!!!!!!!

Also, closer to home, Bob Shade (Hallmark) has been restoring Mosrites for years. He's up in Greenbelt, Maryland and can be reached through the Hallmark site. He actually answers the phone himself if you have questions.

I didn't know there where still "Ventures models" being made in 1971.
My 1971 MK I sun burst is not a Ventures.....confused?

I think he is using the term loosely. even for non-ventures mark models, often times people will refer to them as ventures models, even though from a technical stance, it's not true. Mosrite attached the name mark to so many different models, ironically i find it less confusing to sometimes call these guitars ventures models.

Ventures Models had the Ventures logo on the headstock - otherwise, would it be safe to say that all Ventures (excl. Ventures model II, etc) are MK I models, but not all MK Is are Ventures? Is there any big difference besides the logo (not counting the various hardware changes) in the MK I and Ventures designs?
