I have a question for you Mos-heads out there; I believe the trem spring to be wrong. Its way too weak and looks to be doubled up from someones prior rig-up. Can anyone help me locate a proper spring?

Congratulations getting your new Mo, That trem spring does look rather squished. Anyway, There are some springs on eBay if you look. There are different strengths of springs for different gauges of strings though so keep that in mind. Here's a link to a search for "Mosrite Spring". You may also be able to use Hallmark 60 Custom springs.

It is fantastic! Talk about speed frets you can barely tell it has frets haha. I measured and studied pics online of spring closeups counting spirals and whatnot. I found one on the way to work at a specialty hardware shop we have here. $1.50. I'm going to set it up with 10's and the new spring and i'll post how it goes.

I think i recall reading something about Semie switching to "smooth" pots or something at some point. Does that mean some of the pots were purposely harder to turn? The V and T are stiff but not stiff like old or I guess maybe. Just wondering if they are supposed to turn super easy like a fender or if they are supposed to have a drag to them.

One more thing- I am missing one strap button. I think i'll be putting on strap locks anyway as I plan to play this nonstop but i'd like to have 2 originals.

Stay cool all
