1966 Combo - eBay score

I lost this bid last night by $10, then the guitar reappeared today. Seems the winner was in France, and the seller's instructions were ignored, so it came on again - This time at a BIN of $1299! - I emailed him and told him of my bid, and he said I could have it @ $701! WooHoo - pick it up tomorrow (hopefully), since the store is local ... I'm excited to get it ...

Wow! I was watching the mosrite Combo & Celebrity auctions as well. Ya got it for a great price too
. I thought about bidding on a Celebrity over the weekend, but I ended up buying a different hollow body zero-fret guitar on ebay instead. I'm sure we're both chomping at the bit to get our hands on our "new" guitars. This will be my first hollow body

I remember it on ebay and was put off by the repaired (or rather 'contained', as I understood it) crack in the body, especially evident on the rear if I'm correct. And furthermore it did not ship to Europe, I believe.
It's good you have it for only $701.00 though! Are you going to try improving on the existing 'repairs' do you think? A nice challenge, anyway
