hi , this is my first post on the forum so please be gentle.

I was wondering if anyone can help me ID / Date my mosrite .

Here are some pictures

As you can see the guitar is Pink which may not be everyones taste but i think it looks quite cool , i have tried searching online and have not come across another with this finish ( is it rare ?).

The guitar is all original bar the pickguard has been changed but i do have the original which is signed
by one of the Ventures ( not sure which one) .

any information will be much appreciated

Just a guess, but looks like Don Wilson's signature... Very pretty guitar, and that new pearl pickguard is a definite enhancement looks-wise, but hang on to the original!

Yep, I'd say the signature is Don Wilson's. You have a very beautiful Mosrite...and with Humbuckers! Wow.
Here's another Pink Mosrite in action: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4491

Welcome to the Forum Sheldon. The only thing that made me inquisitive was the fact there was no 'Mosrite of California' embedded
in/on the p'up casings between the pole screws, they were smooth. The only reason the p'up casings had the embedded logo were due
to these were the extra leftover casings, in which Semie went ahead and used, whether they were single or doubled coiled..... ;)

Look closer, it's there. As for the color, I like it. Reminds me of that easy on the eyes Tomoko, er, guitar.

You can just barely see the imprints in the 3rd photo down. Hope my eyes don't get as bad as yours Dennis, and they're getting there

As for dating your guitar, I'd rather date that Tomoko girl. I'd look funny dating a guitar.

Check the pots for date codes. I don't think Semie was making humbuckers when he was making Ventures models. Is the finish original? The V in the serial number was also used on 70's guitars, is that correct? Anyway, probably had the pickups changed at some point. again, very cool guitar. Didn't Semie make a pink acoustic for Dolly Parton?

Thanks for all the information , i have been searching the net for the last 6 months and sourced less information than in the 4 hours the post has beem live.

The guitar was sold to me as being all original from the late 60s early 70s , it was part of an collection of 15 mosrites .
thanks again
