I went for it and bought a beautiful Celebrity 111 from G.C. I probably paid too much for it, $1000, but it is in perfect condition. They had it dated '68 but was checking out the Celebrity website and it has a fairly low serial number, K0214, with K series running from 1966 to 68 range. Could this guitar have been manufactured closer to 66 than 68? It is on police hold till 4/7 but will post pics as soon as I pick it up so you all can see the unbelievable condition it is in. Only marks on it is on the headstock where it had been hung mabey for years. plays like butter with perfect electronics. I am sure I will obsess on it till I pick it up!
I'm sure some of you Mossheads will know what I mean:)

Re: Celebrity G.A.S. attack
It's amazing to me how rather affordable Mosrite vintage is, especially the Celebrity, in comparison to so many other brands. 1000 for such a recognized and somewhat rare guitar seems like a steal to me ! Great Job on the purchase, hope you're still excited when it's off of the police hold.
Thanks,
Eyan
