Another Mosrite Video with Semie's likeness in it

Postby 101Volts » Wed Apr 10, 2013 6:49 pm

I'm guessing this is from the early 80s, Perhaps before the fire which was in 1984 or so.

Very cool - tomorrow Im going to post one of the large original newspaper articles about Semie's shop in the Bakersfield days. It will be listed under the posts 'articles from the 60's and should pull up under' vew new posts' . There are currently old newspaper photos on there but now I have found the original full article in my dad, Bill Gruggetts personal belongings. I will copy it in a way I can post it for you all to read. Its pretty cool.

Thats awesome, i have never ever been able to get any info on this model.
Thank you very much for posting, its made my day!

Ive got one of those mosrites (Gospel Encounters) and supposedly 25 where made (i have GE0025)
I have only ever heard of two others and only seen one other, so he may have only made a few? You can see how he changed the water slide decal on the headstock from the one in the vid to mine.

Absolutely fantastic torana. How does it play and sound compared to a classic Ventures Mosrite?
