Two of my Mosrites. Anyone know the years?

These two beauties are currently hanging on my living room wall. The black six string sounds like a million bucks through my 64' Blackface Bassman. I got the six string in 1991 after mowing lawns to save up the money. It was only $500! To this day, it is still my main guitar. The serial number is V0122. I've always told people it was a '71 but I'm not positive.

I wrote Mosrite a letter around 1992 or so to ask about the year. I got a letter back (on Mosrite stationary!) requesting pictures ("Mr. Moseley would like to see some pictures in order to date it"). I guess THEY couldn't even date it by the serial number. I sent in some pictures and received another reply explaining that most of the records had been destroyed in a fire and that Mr. Moseley's best guess is that it was made around 1986." Bizarre. Everything I've ever read since leads me to believe that it's early 70's. I can't, for the life of me, find those old letters. I can't imagine I would've thrown them away. I hope they turn up some day.

I got the bass from a good friend of mine about 5-6 years ago. He sold it to me for $500! I think it's early 70's too but again, I'm not sure. Serial number is B0063. No case, and the original tuners are gone, as are the original knobs. Bridge cover plate is missing as well. It's a great bass! All my bass player friends want it and hate me because I rarely play bass. I'll never sell it though.

This picture isn't the best but here they are:
