Re: Brass Rail Bass?!
Whoa! I dig the body shape!
The gangster looks so frightening, with his luger in his hand
When he gets home to his children, he's a family man
But when it comes to the nitty-gritty, he can shove in his knife
Yes he really looks quite religious, he's been an outlaw all his life

Re: Brass Rail Bass?!
It's the first time I've ever seen one. I'd like to hear what Adam (dorkrockrecords) has to say about it, as he didn't host the auction. Did he buy it?
I had heard that Semie tried to get bass models to work with aluminum due to weight, but the necks just crumpled. I'm guessing this Bass must weigh a good bit, maybe not over 20 pounds but more like 13-15.
Also, There's another thread about this. I thought I'd link it - And link this to that thread - Just for future reference:

Re: Brass Rail Bass?!
Ed Elliott, if you are on the forum these days is this one you have seen before?
I was just curious enough to ask if anyone from the forum bought this or has any info on this particular model, it being something of an apparent rarity...
Thanks in advance.
