Yeah, you got it right. It's funny, I couldn't even see the Mark II in the picture that way because I'm so used to it.

Can anyone clear up all the different MK II reissues for me? I've seen the Mosrite of Classics which has a smaller headstock, and some earlier ones that were Johnny models with the Ventures logo, also some earlier Johnny style without the Ventures on it, then of course there are the various ones that Ed had. Also, did the originals have the smaller headstock? I would greatly appreciate any assistance from one of you more knowledgeable souls out there.

Originals had smaller headstock, the ones that say ventures are not Fillmore (GCP or something. Forgot.). Johnny ramone signature has Johns signature on the headstock, made by fillmore, small headstock with ramones logo and text.

MK II deluxe is the same guitar as the JR Signature but without the signatures and logos, says The Mark-II Model on the headstock.
MK II standard is trying to be a reissue of the original slab, but the pickups dont match and no tremolo.

I hope that clarifies some things.

Thanks! I think I may sell one of the ones I have, just trying to figure out which one.

I am in the midst of buying a pretty cool and unusual MK II model.
A short lived sunburst model with a moseley-style trem, white pickguard and black pickups.

This was supposedly the Mark II deluxe before the Johnny Ramone guitars changed their name.

Almost seems like it's a reissue of the original slab, but with a different trem and pickups.

I will be posting pictures and such in a topic soon.

Thanks Aaron :)

It's 2553, w/ cabs 2556A and 2556B (2x12" each), it is the smaller 50 W version.

really? wow I wondered if it was the smaller version, but it looked too big in the pics. I wish marshall continued making the smaller tubed amps like this, they were awesome. About 8 years ago I had a chance to buy a 2555 in black (1988 model) for 700 bucks! i wish i got it now cuz these have really gone up in price over the years.

Yeah :D

It's a good amp, I've had it since '88. The small size is great, unless you absolutely need 4x12" cabs. The stack easily fits into most cars.
