lightweight case for Mosrites and clones?

When I got my Hallmark C60, I tried to fit it into my strat gig bag, and to my surprise about three inches of headstock stuck out at the top. As I put it back in its spot, I noticed that my Squier P-bass gig bag was leaning next to it, which as it proved had a snug fit for the body and room to spare for the headstock. Perfect. Also the extra space at the headstock end drooped in a convincingly shabby manner that makes this setup very inconspicuous during those long trips on the subway at night- some old busker with his worthless knock-off in the crowd. In clubs, any would-be thief would probably overlook this thing while scanning the dressing room for fancy cases.
That gig bag cost me about fifteen dollars at GC after Christmas a few years back.
When I'm not playing out, of course, my girl sleeps right in the case.
I show 'er off on the stage, but not on the street.

Thanks, eltuce. It looks like the Mark II is a little smaller than the Mark I/Ventures/60 Custom style. I've ordered a Mosrite gig bag from Front Porch Music--it looks like that'll be my best bet. The Hallmark case is really nice--it's built like a tank, and weighs about as much as one!

What kind of gig bag is it? I can't tell from the website. And more importanly how huch do them sell them for? I PM'd Artie a while ago but he never got back to me.

I was seriously lookingat those MONOCASE hybrid cases. Expensive, but worth it since they appear to be every bit as durable as a case. But they do not have any that could fit the 60's Custom.

vjf--I called Front Porch on the phone to order the gig bag. It took about a week to get to me, and Bakersfield is about a six-hour drive from me! Oh, well that's shipping for you--sometimes it takes less time to ship something across the country than it does to ship it across the state, and California's a big state...The gig bag's pretty nice--it's got velcro-closure pockets on the inside to hold the butt-end and headstock in place, and it has "Mosrite of Classics" embroidered on the front. I'm playing in Bakersfield on April 22, and I'm going to try to get to Front Porch if we have time--I want to see if the Fillmore cases are any lighter than my Hallmark case; the guy I talked to at Front Porch (not Artie) said they're not, but I'll check it out.
