For what it's worth, the money you'll save buying from Artie instead of ER alone would make the trip worthwhile, let alone witnessing the extensive Mosrite collection up close. Add to that the money you'll save by not gambling during the side trip to Bakersfield and I think you've got a pretty convincing argument. Besides, how cool to buy a Mosrite in Bakersfield!

...and to be able to see a Mosrite Museum as well :mrgreen: .........

Marsman, sorry, it is 4 hours from Vegas to Bakersfield, you can do it in 3 + hours but....

Don't drive too fast and watch for those unmarked police cars, right after you pass the State border and before turn north at Barstow.

On weekday mornings, the traffic on I-15 is usually light and it is very easy to get carried away and go 90 miles / hr on 75 miles speed limit. Ticket was $250 or court appearance (probably much higher now ). If you decide to go, drive carefully and stay alert, save the money for your guitars or your wife to play on slot machines.

I have learned my lesson once going from Vegas to San Diego.
