Well... the country band I play with got a chance to try out both the Ranger.on Fri nite and the new Fillmore '63 reissue, built by Dana Mosley in Bakersfield,on Sat. nite.
Dana and her husband,Jamie hung-out with the Wild Blue Rose band and both guitarists(Jack Gomez and Kenny Mac) got to play the guitars, each a set apiece.
The "63 with, the dana-mo pickups,definately sounded better,hands down!
The U.S. built models (according to Fillmore have a higher grade of metal work and that may affect the sustain. The sunburst finish on the '63 seemed to change colors with each color of light (so cool we left it in front of the lights on the break-WOW!)
Both models looked great, and the intonation was right-on.
Dana is Building about 24 guitars a month,in Bakersfield. :D :D

Hey There Bakeoboy, How's things going there in ol' Bakeosfield ?

Just Curious................ Where's the woodworking on these new
USA Mosrite reissues being done? In the basement there at Front Porch? Ed Roman's shop in Vegas? or in some faraway Land on 200Grand CNC machines? The Painting? Metalwork? Inquiring minds want to know...... Or, maybe it's just me. "You know guitar building fascinates
me,especially when it comes to Mosrites"
Love to see some shop and guitar photos too.
Artie, Take Care,
Eddy

Hey Eddie!
The guitars are shipped to Dana from Japan with no pickups or hardware.Dana winds, and builds the pickups, does the wiring, assembles the guitars and sets them up here in a secret location in Bakersfield.
She is doing a great job,and is very proud to carry on the Mosrite legacy, here in Bakersfield.
She said the ones Ed Roman would get in,they would just take the pickups out remove the pickguard ,and just re-assemble them and send back to Japan, then sat they were "made in U.S.A.

Artie,
What kind of finish is used on the guitars? Are they nitro or poly?

Hey Artie!

Well, it sounds like Dana has a good thing going on,
and there's no better place to build Mosrites than
Bakersfield."I think the ones from Bakersfield always
sound just a bit better, one of those mystical things".
