I would like to be a member, but-

You say:

A photo would be nice. Of your guitar, that is

Howzabout  BASS GUITAR??!!

See, what would the Ventures, Surf Music, etc (all the stuff Mosrites are know for) yes indeed, even LIFE ITSELF!
What would it be without the Bass Guitar?? Besides dull and empty I mean...

I'll tell ya what-- too trebly!

So, if the membership allows bass guitar, sign me up w/ Ranger bass RGB 003.

Woa! Easy Meng! The noun "guitar" can refer to either the 4 OR 6 string instrument.
And after all, the title of this thread does say- The Mosrite Ranger Club." ;)
make the Mos' of it, choose the 'rite stuff.

Well, OK then! Always best to make sure; it's not like there's no discrimination against BASS PLAYERS...

Just the other day, I was on stage, being introduced after playing a smokin'
bass part, ya know, it carried the whole groove and set the tone for the rhythm section-
It was the LINK between the pure rhythm of the drums and the blazing Guitar solo melody-
Really kept it all together...

So anyhoo, I'm up there being introduced, the audience is all set to applaud, and ...

Here comes.....

KANYA WEST!!

up on stage, grabs up the mike, and says that the GUITARIST had the best solo!!!

See what I mean?? Happens all the time.

So anyway, I humbly accept membership and offer pictorial records of my Sunburst Fillmore/Mosrite RANGER Bass guitar, s/n RGB 003.

It's a keeper.

Here is an old photo of my Excellent 65 (Blue) and Ranger 65 (Black).
Hard to split them tone wise, both great, but the Ranger body is thicker and a little wider and about 25% heavier.
The Excellent for me is a better balanced guitar.
Both cost me about $1200AU each, the Ranger was sent from a friend in Japan, the Excellent from a store in Sydney.
The Vox is gone, replaced with a Princeton Reverb, perfect.

So I'm a happy member of both the Ranger Club and the Excellent Club. :D

Here's mine:

The Quad Reverb from the pic is gone. After I tried my new Fender "Custom" Vibrolux Reverb, I just knew it was better suited to my surf/instro playing. But the QR was a great amp though.
This concludes my report from outer space. Now, back to studio!

I just got to join this club - got my Ranger from an eBayer - arrived yesterday. I took off the Wilkinson tuners and humbuckers the owner had installed, and put the stock hardware back on - I just like it better this way. Here's a couple of pix - very nice playing guitar....

Black on black didn't show so well ...
