my '65 mark I reissue

Postby last » Wed Dec 02, 2009 10:02 am

I got this baby a couple of months ago from Artie and just haven't had a chance to post pictures (sorry about the quality, I took them with my phone). Don't know if you can tell, but it's ink blue. My main guitar is a PRS. I've had it for like twelve years or something. No matter what I've bought in the past, I always go back to her. Well, since I got my new Mostrite, I haven't even picked up the PRS. I knew I'd like the guitar (with the tremolo and unlike most people, I'm into the thin neck, which is one of my favorite things about my other Mosrite), but I had no idea it would be as good as it is. The feel is great, which I expected, but I had no idea the pickups would be so awesome (they're the Dana wound ones). Never in my life have I heard such beef and power from a single coil. I'm hoping to get in the studio in the next couple of months to record with it, so when I do, I'll put up some songs. Anyway . . .

yes. I kinda think it should say "hey, at least we put it together in the USA".

oh and it surprisingly stays in tune very well. i use the the tremolo a fair amount and i really only have to tune the higher strings after i riff a bunch or chuck berry it. my band got together last night and it's been about a week and i didn't even need to tune really. way better than the bixby i put on one of my les pauls. have to retune that thing after like half a song.

Beautiful guitar, congratulations. I too have found my other guitars sit idle most of the time since I got a Mosrite.

Suhweet! That's a great looking reissue Mosrite. Don't let anyone tell you it's not "real". ;)

Beautiful guitar. I like the color a lot. What's the build date? My sunburst is 4/17/2009, although I just received it a couple of weeks ago. I haven't picked up any other guitars since mine arrived either.
