According to the Vintage Ibanez site,
these were supposedly made roughly
around 1968 or '69...............

Wow! I didn't know they made one of those. I wonder how it is. :)

Wow, For the time it actually looks like a pretty good copy. I wonder how it plays and sounds?

The pick-ups looked as though to be the same ones that were used on the Aria's and the
Univox 'High-Flyer's', etc. from the same time frame which seems to be from the late '60s.

I wish I hadn't seen that pic. I had a white one of those and it was my main guitar for a number of years. If you check out my band's myspace page www.myspace.com/rocks1977 you can see some shots of it in action. I ended up selling it to Tim from Tym guitars and he was happy to get it. Apparently they're pretty uncommon as Ed Roman noted on his site once that even he didn't know if Ibanez ever made a Mosrite-style guitar so I sent him a message about mine.
As far as comparisons with real Mossies are concerned I only had an Excellent 65 to put it against and the most immediate difference was that the Ibanez had a harder edge German carve and generally wasn't as 'smooth' but it was still a fun guitar especially as I wanted a
'Mosrite' for stage use without worrying about getting an expensive guitar damaged.

I really regret selling it (we all have those stories eh?) but it seemed the thing to do at the time. Oh well at least I know it went to a good home.
