How to improve a Mosrite copy

Early 70s Univox Hi-Flyer "Venturized" by adding a brass nut, new pickguard with the pickup selector switch moved up, better tuners and "Venturian Model" and new "Univox" decals added, plays and sounds like the real thing. Rumors have it that when Mosrite went bankrupt for the first time in Bakersfield, Univox approached Semie and had him assemble a few Hi-Flyers for a possible manufacturing and assembly deal, and that some of those Hi-Flyers assembled by Semie got real Mosrite pickups installed on them. This might be one of them, of course the Nokie Edwards strings also helped !

Hey Mike,

Glad to see you back on the forum. By your statement are you saying your Hi-Flyer has Mosrite pickups? If not, I think that would be the icing on the cake. ;)
