A good friend in Japan just e-mailed me to tell me the big news:

".....Recentry the rights of Mosrite's trademark are terminated by Japanese Trademark Ofiice in Japan. Thus, Fillmore is no more trademark holder in Japan...."

Wow! This is very interesting. I will keep everyone updated if I hear more news....

It is also interesting that Kurokumo (Dark Cloud or Black Cloud) is quickly starting to offer this Mosrite guitars directly from their factory. Check this one out.... :o

Order directly from factory at 95,000 Yan. A little over $1000 plus shipping is not a bad price. I always like Kurokumo's quality.

WOW!!!

And it even looks like they'll sell parts - hopefully at more reasonable prices than Mr. Roman.

The pictures are great, but do they have an English site? I'd love to know what the ordering procedure is.

Hey Mosman if you go to babel fish and copy the link and paste it in the field and select the language to translate to it will pull it up in English. I'm kinda wondering if this who Loretta Mosely is associated with now. Kevin

I bought one from Mel. They're seriously great guitars! I played it in comparison to his original '66 and the differences are minor. If these are the same ones they're well worth the money. Someone should find out if it's possible to order them into the US.

I'm also kinda wondering if this is the same place Kevin Mazz (Zamm Inc) got his Mosrites from? Kevin

Yes, Zamminc got them from Kurokumo (Excellent), Ed Roman is getting them from Fillmore. (They subcontract out to other factories, but I don't think they would use Kurokumo when lawsuits was pending..)
