HI There
Has anyone tested or compared the quality of the Ranger series that is MIJ and offered by Ed Roman. Perhaps someone knows how well this guitar is playing in comparison with older japanese Fillmore versions from around 2000. I´m thinking playing comfort on the neck, sustain, tremolo, and pickups primarily. I´m considering buying one.
But I´m not should whether buying an older japan model or restoring my V88 that was bought as a project with many unoriginal parts including the neck that is terrible. There is missing trem parts too!
Has anyone really good links too cheaper parts than Ed Roman´s pricey stuff that actually works as a buying website at the moment.

Personally I'd go for the 2000's Japanese made mosrites... The look and feel pretty close to the real thing and you get "The Ventures" logo on top...

Hej Jacob,
Well, seems like I'm not the only Dane around here anymore. I'm very happy with my Mosrite Excellent. I'd really like a vintage Mosrite although that'd be a lot to pay for the last 1%

Re: Morite Ranger Quality?
Mosrite ranger,
just got one this week.
it is ok, the neck is close to the original Mosrites.
small, thin, speed frets but it isn't worth the money.
sunburst finish shows no wood grain, just all paint.
pick guard overhangs the carve top, strings pop outta the nut when ya bend up on the low strings.
the Vibramute sux.
not worth the $ Fillmore asks for it.
kinda reminds me of my first guitar....a Harmony

Re: Morite Ranger Quality?
I can't comment on the quality of the Rangers as I've never seen one in person, but the pickguard on my '66 overhangs the carve, so don't hold that against the Ranger.
Oy vey - it's MESHUGGA BEACH PARTY - The world's premier Jewish Surf Music Band!

What? Couldn't tell the logo is a link? So click here, what's the hold up? http://www.meshuggabeachparty.com

Re: Morite Ranger Quality?
I only tried the Fillmore Ranger briefly at Ed Roman's. They are nice and have better value than other Ed Roman's Fillmore Mosrites.
Since I already have two Black Cloud Excellent Mosrites, I don't need another Japanese clone.
It will be a great starting Mosrite if you have limited budget.
Here is one in England on eBay.

Just my 2 cents opinion.

Vincent, the place selling that Mosrite Ranger in England is the same place that's been giving forum member Brunob the run a round with his mosrite order.

Thanks, Kevin: Did Brunob finally get his? Maybe they are in stock now?

I'm not for sure if he got it or not, I remember it was a long strung out ordeal though. Maybe he'll chime in with an update when he comes back here.
