I just found this while searching google. It talks about Mosrite in the 70s a bit, No doubt there has to be more in the actual book that was omitted from the preview.

That's very cool. What books are out there featuring Semie's Handi-Work

Page 95 has some great Mosrite history, also.

I have 2 books: American Guitars, by Tom Wheeler and Electric Guitars: The Illustrated Encyclopedia by Thunderbay Press - both have sections featuring Mosrites. I'm sure there are more out there - the Holy Grail has to be Vintage Mosrites, though.

Re: 70s Mosrite History in a Guitar History book
Unfortunately Vintage Mosrite is written in Japanese and has never been translated and/or reprinted. It is long out of print. I have a copy and it has some great pictures but I have no idea what is said. It depicts and apparently describes a chronology of various changes over the years of manufacture. If you can find a copy they are expensive. I paid $50 for my copy and the last two on eBay was over $90. Lot of money just for pictures.
If someone that can translate would like to earn a little cash, I'd be willing to pay someone to go through each page and translate it into English. Micro Soft word would be great as it could be sent as an attachment. Hint hint.

Well, I knew the book I posted above was expensive, but check out the listing on eBay. It does have a 5% off incentive.

Now that's absurd
It's a book written in Japanese
I'm tempted to take some photos of my Mosrites and publish a book
